We just love to cook!
Hi there, my name is Deborah Abdelrahman, and I am the author of Family Food and a family recipes blogger! First and foremost, I am a mum and a real ‘foodie’ which naturally inspired my desire to create a family recipe book, but the real motivation came in 2017 when my second child was born. Pushed for time in my already busy day, I was desperately searching for recipe books which gave me only ONE recipe for my entire family, providing not only a flavoursome, healthy meal for my husband and I, but also an age appropriate, nutritious meal for my baby and toddler, but alas, to no avail! So here is where my journey began of noting down every recipe I made, researching constantly to ensure that all the ingredients I was feeding to my family were age appropriate and nutritionaly balanced.

In today’s world, our children will, sadly, face an unprecedented number of diseases and health threats and science is increasingly pointing to a healthy diet as one of the best ways to combat these. Therefore, one of the simplest ways to protect our children is by ensuring they have enjoyed a balanced diet from the get-go, but without having to spend hours in the kitchen producing several different meals a day or compromise on flavoursome food for the adults. This is where this recipe book comes in, providing you with only ONE recipe for ONE family.
In the book you will find an ‘ingredients by age’ chart which you may use as a quick reference guide to ensure you are providing your little ones’ with the right food at the right time. This book is extremely user friendly with colour coded sections for each stage of weaning from 4 months through to 12 months +. You simply pick the section which corresponds to the age of the youngest member of your family, choose a recipe from this category or prior to this, grab that apron and get cooking!
